Change Your Story, Change Your Life

You say you’d like to make more money, lose weight, find a mate, improve a relationship, or have more balance in your life.  You want something to be different.

The first place to look is the story you currently live by. What’s the story you tell yourself about your weight, your time, your relationship, or even your parents?

You have a story that you tell yourself about how much money you are able to make and how you relate and feel about money.  That story is repeated over and over again every time the topic of money comes up. And it is this repetition that then causes the outcome you achieve. Your thoughts create your reality. In other words, your story becomes your self-fulfilling prophesy.

How does it work? By repeating the thoughts over and over again, you produce neurological pathways in your brain. The brain likes to conserve energy so it needs these neurological pathways in order for optimal functioning. It’s like RAM on your computer; the brain only has so much energy to take in and process new information. If it can use the neurological pathways or habits of thought, then it can use its RAM for more immediate or new issues.

If you want something in your life to change, change your story.

Tell yourself a new story about how you live, about the relationship you enjoy with your spouse, about your body and health, about your kids. Script a new story and create a new future.

It sounds easy and you know what? It is! The key is to repeat the story over and over again so that it becomes habit and you create NEW neurological connections in your brain. Rewire your brain and you will produce a new outcome. The old pathways will atrophy and become weak and you will start to see yourself and the world differently.

Maybe now you CAN become wealthy or thin or meet the man or woman of your dreams… Now you can become happy and have work/life balance. Anything is possible to change if you can see it in the story in your mind.

Let me know the story’s end. I’d love to hear from you.

Your partner for success,

Julie
