Meet Julie

JULIE DONLEY, RN BSN MBA

Julie is the owner and CEO of Nurturing Your Success where she provides Coaching, Writing, and Motivational Speaking to audiences across the United States. She is a recognized leader in the field of Personal Leadership Development. Serving clients since 2001, her passion is to educate and coach people on the strategies and beliefs needed to be your best – to improve work-life balance, create healthy relationships, and overcome the obstacles to happiness and success.

My Philosophy

I believe that each of us has more personal power than we know how to use – and it scares us – that we have the power to change our lives for the better but we hide the best of ourselves behind a wall of fear, self-doubt, and negative mental conditioning. In order to change, in order to make the impact we want to have in this lifetime, we must bridge that wall to release our power, start believing in ourselves, and create powerful habits that allow us to be fully who we are.

My mission is to educate, inspire and empower you with the strategies and beliefs to be your best so you experience the love, happiness, and peace you desire.

Only by learning to master yourself and your habits will you gain the confidence and skills needed to create the relationships, the life, and the career you enjoy.

I want you to enjoy yourself and live your best life!

I believe that to succeed at that you must learn to manage your thoughts and emotions – to be self-aware so you can identify what you want and then have the courage to go for it.

What is SO great about my coaching, articles and presentations is that you learn the strategies and empowering beliefs required for success, to tame your fears and doubts, to manage your emotions so you present the best of you to a world that needs you. You learn how to love again – or for the first time, to trust yourself, and to find the courage to face your challenges as well as realize your dreams.

My Personal Background

How did I get here?

I have always believed that we have the power to create our own happiness. My quest has been to discover those powers and learn how to use them to create a life that I love. Along the way, I have faced my share of hardships and challenges that have tested my resolve as a leader. But often the most difficult and challenging moments of our lives are the best teachers. These obstacles and bumps in the road have helped me grow strong as I pushed forward in spite of them and learned to rise above my difficulties, conquer my fear, and overcome self-doubts.

What I have learned is that the path to happiness is easier than we think it should be; we are just not very skilled at it. The more we love, honor and respect ourselves – in every way – the better our lives become. We are able to attract into our lives whatever we want so long as we focus on being our best. And, when you respect you, when you take actions that honor your highest self, you start to repel things you don’t want like drama, problems, and difficult people.

Through my work Nurturing Your Success, I empower, inspire, and educate YOU to access YOUR power to manage difficult circumstances and personalities, find grace in the face of conflict, and conquer the inner demons (your thoughts) that hold you back from realizing your potential so you become the master of your destiny and achieve the success you desire.

Success does not happen by chance; if you want change in your life or in your profession or relationship, you have to be willing to do the work. But you don’t need to do it alone. Often you need someone to guide you to the next level, someone who will bring light to your blind spots, help you gain clarity, hold you accountable so you can focus your attention for maximum results.

I am honored to be that guide for you.

If you lack confidence or self-esteem, if you have difficulty with productivity or managing yourself or your time, or if you harbor fear or pain and self-doubt, you will struggle and hold yourself back. Happiness and success will be elusive. Success is an inner game – so is happiness.

Our quest starts there – mastering yourself and your habits. I continue along this journey in my own life, currently working to lose 50 pounds. I don’t just teach the principles of success; I live them.

My Vision ~ My Passion

I see a world where we enjoy the best of ourselves and each other.

  • Where we use our compassion to care for and respect ourselves
  • Where we treat ourselves with empathy and loving-kindness
  • Where we respect each other – no matter who it is or what our affiliation with them
  • Where we speak to each other in a way that demonstrates that we understand what the other has to say – they feel heard
  • Where we help bring down the walls of fear, pain, shame and self-doubt behind which each of us hides the best of ourselves

By bringing down these walls, we are able to experience deeper connections.

  • We feel understood and accepted for who we are
  • We feel loved
  • We unleash the potential that lies behind the wall
  • We develop trusting relationships
  • And we bring out the best in each other.

The ONLY way to do this is to begin by changing ourselves.

We MUST learn to be compassionate with ourselves and bring down our walls of doubt, fear and shame. We MUST learn to use empathy in our communications with others and we MUST learn to RECEIVE empathy and be willing to bring down our walls.

Only by learning skills to master our thoughts and emotions and having compassion for ourselves will we unleash our power to create what we want and experience the amazing relationships and deep connections we long for.

Today, I live with my husband, Lou, my step-son Jael and my son Josh. We have 5 cats – Lou keeps saying that “5 cats do not make a dog” but we have not yet indulged his desire for one.

I enjoy writing, coaching clients from home, and working as an RN in a local psychiatric facility. I enjoy gardening, reading, writing, walking, working out, and Pilates. Life is good.

Your partner for success,

Julie Donley, RN ~ Nurturing Your Success
