What Are the Qualities of Your Ideal Partner for an Amazing Relationship?

In this series of Five Steps to Attracting Your Ideal Partner for an Amazing Relationship, we already covered visioning and determining the foundation that will hold up or cradle this relationship. Now we ask about and envision this wonderful partner of yours.

What are the QUALITIES and CHARACTERISTICS that this ideal partner would need to possess in order to participate in this AMAZING RELATIONSHIP with you?

This will be a list so take out a piece of paper and write down all of the things that you want in this partner. Don’t hold back anything…

• You want him to cook? Great! Write that down.
• You want kids. Great! Write that down.
• You want this person to be financially responsible? Thrifty? Rich? Financially independent? Great! Write that down.
• How about emotionally available? You DEFINITELY want that!
• Divorced, rather than separated. Honest. High integrity. Good communicator. Willing to talk about feelings. Willing to address issues when they arise. Has dealt with [most of] the baggage from previous relationships. We ALL have baggage. But has she/he done most of the work or are they just looking to get over someone? And is she/he willing to address their stuff when things arise in your relationship with them?
• Likes to take you on weekend get-aways – or willing to go on weekend get-aways. Well, then he will not only enjoy planning these little trips but also be willing to spend the money to go away.
• Enjoys lots of sex. Likes to bring you flowers. Enjoys whatever hobbies you enjoy – write down specifically what each one is that you want him or her to enjoy.
• Perhaps you want him to be taller than you or you want her to look a certain way. 

Whatever you are looking for, write it DOWN!

Do not judge yourself. Whatever you want is what you want! And it is okay. This is YOUR list and you get to decide what’s on it.  

This list becomes important as you focus on ATTRACTING WHAT YOU WANT into your life.

• What do you want him/her to do?
• How do you want him/her to make you feel?
• How do you want him/her to take care of him/her self?
• How do you want to be treated?
• What do you want him/her to like or enjoy with you?
• Is there anything you want to be important to him/her? Perhaps values that you have that you also want him/her to have.

Write this list and revisit it daily, adding to it whenever something comes up that you want in your ideal partner.

Add to your list by revisiting previous relationships. What did you enjoy about your partners? What didn’t you enjoy?

While you don’t want to add anything to your list that you don’t want, identifying something that didn’t work well in the past is one way to ask yourself, “What do I want instead? What would make me happy in a partner?”

THAT IS what you want on your list.

Enjoy dreaming about your ideal partner and your AMAZING RELATIONSHIP. And KEEP DREAMING! Dreaming is an important part of the process.

If you can dream it and believe it, you can achieve it.

I remember when I wrote out my plan for attracting my ideal life partner. I kept adding to my list – I held nothing back. In the end, I had 80 items on my list.

I knew I wanted someone to assist me around the house, to share duties and be responsible WITH ME for running the household. I work too, after all. I wanted someone who could bring kids into my life. I have one and if he had some too, that would be great! I was not going to have more.

I found everything that I asked for and MORE!

I BELIEVED that it was possible to attract that ONE PERSON to share my life with. And I BELIEVE you can too!

Although I must warn you, it can take time to attract your partner into your life. Right now, we are just getting started. It’s important that you do NOT make unrealistic expectations for how quickly the universe should SERVE UP your ideal partner!

DIVE INTO this process. ENJOY yourself as you DREAM and IMAGINE your life with this partner. You deserve all the LOVE, happiness, and passion you desire.
